Registration Fee Timeline & Discounts Available:

Participants and guests are encouraged to register prior to 1st May to benefit from the EARLY-BIRD RATE, however a discount code can be made available for accepted SP2017 contribution authors during the late or last-minute registration periods. This timeline will enable the closing of the SP2017 scientific programme draft agenda. Contributors and other attendees coming from the same institution can benefit from a £50 discount per additional registration. Students of Teesside University can pay 250£ at any point until registration closes on 27th June 2017.

  • Early Bird: Now – 1st May (£ 300.00)
  • Late Registration: From 1st May – 1st June (£ 350.00)
  • Last-Minute Registration: From 1st June - 27th  June  (£ 400.00)

All conference materials and access to general sessions, networking facilitation, coffee breaks & luncheons, receptions, and pilot visits on 30th June are included in the fee. Hotel and travel costs are not included in the registration fee. All persons wishing to participate in the conference program or attend as a listening guest must be registered attendees of the conference. Additionally, SP2017 costs are used to feed guests, anyone who would like to eat must register!  

Payment Methods, Cancellation, and Substitution Policy:

Registrations must be made online using a credit card ONLY, and bank transfers or any other payment forms will unfortunately not be accepted this year. All registrations must be paid in full prior to attending the conference. Registration to SP2017 is non-refundable. Substitutions are welcome, however, in lieu of cancellation with written notice by email to zia.lennard[@]r2msolution.com and are subject to approval. Force Majeure applies.

UK Visa, Travel, and Hotel Recommendations 

The Sustainable Places 2017 (SP2017) event will be held in Middlesbrough, UK. All delegates who are unsure about their visa status for entry into UK, please check this link HERE.

  • For visitors arriving at the local airport: Durham Tees Valley, it is easiest to travel in a taxi from the airport which is about 18 minutes by car and will cost approximately £20 per taxi.
  • If visitors are flying into Newcastle, Leeds Bradford, Manchester or London it would be best to travel to Middlesbrough by train.
  • Teesside University’s Campus is a 10-minute walk from the Middlesbrough train station (http://www.nationalrail.co.uk).
