Over the last 18 months PERFORMER partners have been working steadily on configuration, installation and testing of the monitoring system in the project’s four Pilot Site buildings in France, Poland, Spain and the UK. The monitoring systems at each site consist of both existing equipment already used for the normal control of the sites and additional hardware needed to fill gaps in existing sensor systems. The systems at each site that will enable the deployment of the PERFORMER solution are described in more detail below. At all four Pilot Sites similar approaches have been adopted, utilizing as much of the existing sensor and data collection systems as possible then filling the gaps with new sensors. Data transmission from sites to the PERFORMER Data Warehouse has often proven more challenging than collection of data itself.
