For accepted proposals, at least one of the co-authors must register for the conference and prepare their presentations in PPT format for upload on-site. The PPTs should be sent to the SP2018 conference chair (zia.lennard[@]r2msolution.com) no later than 15th June, and also be brought to the venue as a backup on a thumb drive.

There are no formatting requirements for the PPT (20-30min.) aside from visibly using the SP2018 logo, which can be downloaded below.  Additionally, there are 7 high-resolution banners that can be utilized for whatever purpose.

Finally, specific publication instructions per contribution type are listed as follows (workshops presenters have no formatting requirements, but can submit a 4-page report using the same instructions as briefing/poster contribution types):

Papers

For the event, one (or more) of the co-authors will present a 20-30 min PPT. After the event, co-authors will send via email to the SP2018 conference chair a 4-page version that we’ll call the “Conference Paper.” That conf paper will use the MDPI AG Proceedings template & formatting, but will be extended based on the specific journal requirements (typically approx 8 pages) once it has been decided which of the 5 journals to submit to. The chosen journal for submission will be based on the content of the conference paper. If that journal submission gets refused during peer-review, or major modifications are requested by the reviewers that you (the co-authors) don’t want or can’t carry out, the 4-page version will receive a DOI from and be published by the MDPI AG Proceedings journal. The direct link to the Proceedings template (conference paper) is HERE and the instructions are HERE but you will send that conference paper directly to the SP2018 conference chair (by 1st August) and not to MDPI AG. The SP2018 conference chair can be reached at (zia.lennard[@]r2msolution.com).

Briefings

For the event, one (or more) of the co-authors will present a 20-30 min PPT. After the event, briefing co-authors will send via email to the SP2018 conference chair a 4-page abstract that will receive a DOI from and be published directly by the MDPI AG Proceedings journal. Please be advised that no peer-review will be performed, if a peer-review is required from your side then it should become a paper (as opposed to a briefing). The direct link to the Proceedings template is HERE and the instructions are HERE but you will send that 4-page briefing abstract directly to the SP2018 conference chair (by 1st August) and not to MDPI AG. The SP2018 conference chair can be reached at (zia.lennard[@]r2msolution.com).

Posters

There are no height or size requirements for posters, it’s simply required to visibly use one of the logos or banners that can be downloaded below, and to inform the conference chair whether the poster will be physically brought with the delegate to attend, or if it will be sent to the venue no later than 15th June. If sending by post, please request the mailing address when informing the SP2018 conference chair about the choice of delivery method. The SP2018 conference chair can be reached at (zia.lennard[@]r2msolution.com).

After the event, poster co-authors will send via email to the SP2018 conference chair a 4-page abstract that will receive a DOI from and be published directly by the MDPI AG Proceedings journal. Please be advised that no peer-review will be performed, if a peer-review is required from your side then it should become a paper (as opposed to a poster). The direct link to the Proceedings template is HERE and the instructions are HERE but you will send that 4-page poster abstract directly to the SP2018 conference chair (by 1st August) and not to MDPI AG. The SP2018 conference chair can be reached at (zia.lennard[@]r2msolution.com).
