The Call for Proposals for Sustainable Places 2026 is now open.
From 2 to 4 December 2026, Sustainable Places will return to Luxembourg for its first-ever winter edition, hosted at the European Convention Center Luxembourg and organised by LIST and R2M Solution.
This year’s conference will bring together EU projects, researchers, industry experts, policymakers and practitioners to exchange knowledge, showcase innovative solutions and support the transition towards more sustainable, climate-neutral and resilient built environments.

The Sustainable Places 2026 Call for Proposals is open for several types of contributions, including:
- Thematic auditorium track contributions
- In-person workshops
- In-person presentations
- Online workshops
- Exhibition booths
This is an opportunity for projects, organisations and professionals working on sustainable buildings, districts, urban systems, energy efficiency, transport and integrated infrastructures to share their results, solutions and expertise with the Sustainable Places community.
Early submissions are strongly encouraged, as they may help secure the best programme slots and benefit from early bird registration fees. Applicants will be informed of acceptance decisions on a rolling basis, ahead of the final deadline where possible.
