Boosting the Competitiveness of construction sector RTOs, Innovative Companies and Universities via OITBs

Workshop Overview:

This workshop will cluster the three ongoing projects funded under call topic DT-NMBP-05-2020 – Open Innovation Test Beds for materials for building envelopes (IA) and the Coordination Support Action STAR*track aimed at expanding the Built4People Innovation Cluster Network. 

Participants to this workshop can expect to learn about how innovation clusters, open innovation test beds, and single entry points can accelerate product development in the construction sector increasing the competitiveness of universities, RTOs and companies. An overview and insights to the running OITB projects Metabuilding Labs, MEZEROE and iCLIMABUILT will be provided to include best practices and what makes each of these projects unique. Moderated by the ECTP, the workshop will finish with a roundtable discussion on how the OITBs are positioning for post-project longevity, their best practices and how stakeholders can get involved.

Target Audience: 

RTOs and Universities offering testing and innovation services to product producing companies, construction sector product producing companies, Investors, Development Authorities supporting regional or national innovation ecosystems, construction clusters, and innovation ecosystems.
