Open innovation and innovation clusters reduced costs, accelerated development timelines, provided access to funding opportunities, offered testing facilities and living labs, boosted competitiveness, and reduced time to market.

Organized by the Metabuilding Association, this Open Day was an invitation for construction sector stakeholders to learn about and discuss open innovation and innovation ecosystems, the role of clustering and networks in the Italian and European landscape, and how they could get involved and benefit.

The latter part of the session formed a mini-brokerage event and networking lunch to discuss ideas and collaboration opportunities for call topics under

HORIZON-NEB-2025-01 (New European Bauhaus),

with practical advice on how to incorporate the concepts of open innovation and innovation clustering to form a more competitive submission. Participants were invited to introduce themselves before the networking lunch.

Interventions took place in an open format with time for discussion and questions.
