EU Construction Open Innovation Test Beds (OITBs) as Drivers for SME Product Development

Wednesday, September 7th, 2022 | 14:45h - 16:15h | Workshop | Hybrid

Purpose: Open Innovation Test Bed (OITBs) are clusters of laboratories, testing infrastructure and innovation service providers that work collectively under a Single Entry Point (SEP) to facilitate innovators, notably SMEs, the access to services for the development, TRL advancement and commercial scale up of innovation products and technologies.

This workshop brought together the three OITBs funded under the Horizon 2020 call topic: DT-NMBP-05-2020 – “Open Innovation Test Beds for materials for building envelopes” collectively representing €45 million of R&D funding, to discuss the innovation ecosystem and lines of excellence being set up and developed in each project, and the possibility for joint collaborative actions to further facilitate cooperation across Europe and enhance user involvement.
