The 4th edition of Sustainable Places was hosted by NOBATEK in the historic Basque Country, with the support of UPPA and the city of Anglet. An official EU Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) Energy Day, the event focused on bridging the Energy-efficient Buildings (EeB) and Smart Grid sectors.

Publications

SP16 partnered with the Entrepreneurship and Sustainability Issues (ESI) journal (ISSN 2345-0282). A special collection of 12 accepted articles was published in Volume 4, Edition 3.

Technical Tours

Attendees participated in live demonstrations of innovative technologies at local pilot sites:

    • Nobatek HQ: Demonstration of ventilated façade efficiency and the immersive co-design tool.

    • Office 64: Visit of the renovated headquarters focusing on energy and comfort performance.

    • Bilta Garbi: Demonstration of circular economy principles (material reuse/design for disassembly).

    • ZAC de Séqué: Tour of the eco-district in North Bayonne (participative housing project).
