Inception of Sustainable Places
Sustainable Places (SP) conference was conceived by the PERFORMER (Portable, Exhaustive, Reliable, Flexible and Optimized appRoach to Monitoring and Evaluation of building eneRgy performance) and RESILIENT (coupling REnewable, Storage and ICTs, for Low carbon Intelligent Energy maNagemenT at district level) projects in 2013 under the scope of the Energy-efficient Buildings Public Private Partnership (EeB-PPP), funded by the European Commission under the 7th Framework Programme (FP7).
It has since grown into a dissemination and valorization platform for local or national initiatives and Horizon 2020 projects related to innovations for construction, buildings, power grids, and cities. The overall aim is to foster decarbonization efforts in the built environment through deliberate stakeholder engagement and scientific and technological solution valorization actions.
