EU Geographical Islands as Leaders of Green Energy Transition: 5th Edition

Abstract
This workshop, in its fifth edition (SP2019 – SP2022), looked to reinforce the synergies already created among the H2020 sister projects dealing with island decarbonisation and clean energy transition (i.e., NESOI, IANOS, INSULAE, VPP4ISLANDS, REACT, ROBINSON, MAESHA, and GIFT). Presentations addressed experiences with EU bodies, financial schemes, and technical outcomes. In the workshop, opinions of the audience were collected aimed at investigating barriers, opportunities, and requirements for islands to become the leaders of EU’s Green Energy Transition.
